“Being part of this training helped me find myself, when I didn’t even know that I was lost” –Irene
In this training you will learn how to bridge the gap between what you feel and how you move on your mat, and how you feel and how you move through your life.
Live your practice.
You will learn to weave your everyday life into your yoga practice and vice versa.
Learn to be unapologetically YOU.
Go beyond the fundamentals and mechanics of the physical asanas. Practice finding your own voice and unique style of teaching and leadership. Explore your life, experiences, emotions and willingness to access, feel and share these pieces of you in your practice, in your teaching and in your life.
Create change & experience results.
This training will push you to be present, to spend 200 hours on you, to participate and to do the deep personal work the practice of yoga asks of us. In return, you’ll experience the very real, concrete results this yoga training process consistently delivers–whether it be life changing experiences, shifts in old and/or self-sabotaging habits & patterns, a new level of understanding of and accessibility to this 3,000+ year old practice, or anything in between.
Think of how much shifts in just one practice. Now times that by 200. Stretch it over months.
Expand your knowledge & practice.
This training will deepen your understanding of yoga and awaken your interest to learn more. We’ll cover alignment and anatomy of poses, teaching and cuing, creating and sequencing a class, physically assisting students, chakras and chanting, meditation and mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques, the 8 limbs of yoga and yoga sutras/philosophy, and discuss the ethics and business side of being a yoga teacher.
And more…
Post training you’ll have an opportunity to teach/assist a community class over the course of 3 months.
***Schedule does not include workshops, reading or written assignments. Make up for any missed classes is available…life happens, no worries.***
I am afraid I’m too late for this round of teacher training but was wondering when another one might be held?
Thank you!
Hi Caroline-
Just an fyi in case you didn’t see the post….we are opening up a small group yoga teacher training (200hr Yoga Alliance curriculum) that starts this Spring in addition to the training we hold every fall. We’re doing a longer training, limiting it to 10 people and modifying the schedule to fit students’ busy schedules.
Hope all is well!
Hi Jackie and Blanca,
I am would love to do a teacher training with you. I am an art therapist and I would like to use other modalities, such as yoga in my work with kids. When is your next training?
Thanks,
Jana
